Serve In: Hunger

CROP Walk 2016

Church World Service (CWS) sponsors this annual fund raising walk to fight humger around the world and around the corner.  The walk begins at 1:45 p.m. on the grounds of the Christian Teological Seminary, and traverses 3.5 miles through the beautiful Butler-Tarkington area.  When you walk, you walk with the neediest of chidren in the world who may have to walk 2 to 3 miles each day just to get fresh water, food, fuel, and education.  Communties Responding to Overcome Poverty (CROP) strives to ease that burden, to provide food for local, national, and international use, and to teach those in impoversihed areas to grow their own crops with the ultimate goal that no child goes to bed hungry.  There are many opportunities to may walk, you may sponsor a walker, you may help with the walk, and/or you may pray for the success of the walk and a faster end to world hunger.  Join the Mission Team for this very worthy mission effort.
