Blessings for the New Year!

Sunday After New Year - January 2 @ 11am

We will have one worship service at 11 a.m.  There will be no church school or other activities at the church that morning.  The service will be live-streamed on Facebook. Click here if you plan to attend online.  Come join us for worship as we celebrate the New Year with communion and star words!

2022 Giving Envelopes

You pledge envelopes are now available to be picked up at the church.  They are located on the table outside of the Parlor.  If by chance you haven’t previously indicated the need for envelopes, there are extra’s available.
2022 Budget - Update

As of December 19th, we have received $305,256 in financial commitments towards our goal of $340,000.  Of the 65 pledges we have received, 52% have increased their pledge over 2021.  The end of the calendar year is drawing near, but you still have time to pledge a 2022 financial commitment to John Knox.  Pledge cards are located in the literature rack outside of the church office.  Thank you to all who have already made a financial commitment to John Knox for 2022.

Christmas Joy Offering

We will be collected through mid-January.  This offering aids retired church ministers on fixed incomes and future church leaders among many others.  A pamphlet is included with today's bulletin that includes more information about this special offering.  When donating, please make your checks payable to the church and allocate it to the Christmas Joy Offering.  You may support this offering until mid-January. The portion we retain for the use of the church will be allocated to the Ronald McDonald House.  Thank you from the Mission Team.

De-Decorate the Church - January 8 - 12 pm

Unfortunately, we have to take all these beautiful decorations down after Christmas. The Chancel Guild could use your help to do so on Saturday, January 8 at 12:00pm. We’ll provide a box lunch from McAlister’s Deli for your efforts! Please sign-up on the bulletin board outside the office, or contact Ann Hamel (317-750-6367;    by January 3 if you wish to help – we have to order the lunches ahead of time.

Annual Reports are due - January 9th

If you are in need of a copy of last year's report for your team or group, please email Lisa Crismore at   or Amy Willis at  .

Porten / Lagerlof Wedding - January 16

The Wedding of Kelly Porten and Karl Lagerlof will be held on Sunday, January 16, at 2 p.m. at John Knox Presbyterian Church.  You may join the wedding via the Facebook stream. They are planning to be at JKPC the following Sunday so everyone can offer up congratulations in person to them.

Crazy Cards - January 22

This is a great way to get together, and enjoy fellowship during the dreary winter, as well as a crazy card game (no card playing skills needed)!
WHEN AND WHERE: Saturday, January 22, Fellowship Hall.  We will eat at 5:30pm (Session has requested that we bring our own food and not share due to the increase in COVID cases); card playing begins at 6pm.
WHO: Any and all adults interested in having a fun evening.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fellowship and to get better acquainted with other adults in our church family.
PRIZES: Door Prizes will be awarded to four lucky players.
RSVP: Please let us know you are planning to attend by signing up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board outside the Church Office.  If you have a card table at home, please bring it.  And know that childcare can be provided - just mark that on the sign-up sheet.  Thanks!
Annual Congregational Meeting - January 23

On Sunday, January 23, 2022, there will one Combined Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. to include the Ordination & Installation of Officers, with the Annual Congregational Meeting taking place immediately following.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We look to the coming of 2022 with reluctance and hope. We are reluctant that COVID will continue to plague us in different ways as variants continue to form. We also look with hope that God is with us and nothing can separate us from the love we have in Christ Jesus our Lord. It is his birth we have celebrated. We hold onto the promise that Christ is with us always and no matter what we face, Christ will see us through it.

Blessings and Happy New Year!
