Every other Tuesday morning - 8:30am - Flap Jack's Restaurant on 10th Street!  The ROMEOs are Retired Old Men Eating Out!  The JULIETs are Just Us Ladies Inevitably Eating Too!!  Same day! Same time! Different tables!!  

It started several years ago with just the guys, but after a while, the gals decided it might be a good thing to do, too!  So come join us for some good food and fellowship!  Be careful though!  It's not the first and third Tuesday or even the second and fourth Tuesday of each month! There will be a Maundy Thursday worship service at John Knox on Thursday evening at 7:00pm, both in-person and online.

Speedway Baptist Church will be hosting the Good Friday worship service for the Speedway community on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 7pm.  There will be a combined choir from participating churches. Come join our brothers and sisters in the faith for this meaningful service.

Be sure to mark your calendars and save the date! Saturday, April 16th, Easter Festival, from 9 - 11:00am!  Invite your family and friends for a morning of breakfast, games, crafts, and an interactive walk through Holy Week for children in our church and community.

Volunteers are welcome to help with this event.  There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the church office.   Donations needed - clean, empty egg cartons, wrapped candy, items for breakfast.  If you have any questions, please see Lisa Crismore.  Thanks for making this outreach event to our community a success!

HONOR THY MOTHER!!  Mother's Day is Sunday, May 14th, and what better way to honor your mother than to donate a nightgown, robe, or slippers to be given to a mom living at Coburn Place!!  The Mission Team is collecting these items in a specially designated box in the hallway at church, and will be taking them to Coburn Place Safe Haven (a shelter for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence).  If you don't want to do the shopping yourself, members of the Mission Team would be happy to do the shopping for you!! Just make out a check to the church and designate it for "Mother's Day"!!  Let's show some love to moms in need!

Also, all moms attending worship on the 14th will be honored with a carnation!!

Since the Indy 500 Race will be taking place on Sunday, May 28th, we will gather for worship on Saturday evening, May 27th at 7pm.  

We will gather for a pitch-in "picnic" in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00pm on Saturday.  The Worship Team will be providing the drinks and table service.  Those attending are invited to bring a dish to share.  There will be a sign-up sheet posted on the bulletin board outside the church office so you can indicate what type of dish you will share - entree/salad/vegetable/dessert.

We will stay in the Fellowship Hall then for an informal worship service starting around 7:00pm.  This service will NOT be live streamed or recorded!  

Come and join us for this special opportunity to worship God other than on Sunday morning!!!

The only exception this year is December when the meeting falls on the third Tuesday, and there is no meeting at all in July.  Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. in-person in the Parlor.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month at both worship services (Traditional service at 9am and Comtemporary at 11am).  Plan to join with us on these days to share this meal with the people of God!
