“Give to God First”

Music:  “Goodness of God”

I love You, Lord.
Oh, Your mercy never fails me.
All my days
I've been held in Your hands.

From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head,
I will sing of the goodness of God.

All my life You have been faithful.
All my life You have been so, so good.
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God.

I love Your voice.
You have led me through the fire.
In darkest night,
You are close like no other.

I've known You as a father,
I've known You as a friend.
I have lived in the goodness of God.

All my life You have been faithful.
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God.

Your goodness is running after,
It’s running after me.
Your goodness is running after,
It’s running after me.

With my life laid down,
I’m surrendered now;
I give You everything.
Your goodness is running after,
It's running after me.

Your goodness is running after,
It’s running after me.
Your goodness is running after,
It’s running after me.

With my life laid down,
I’m surrendered now;
I give You everything.
Your goodness is running after,
It's running after me

All my life You have been faithful.
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God.

I will sing of the goodness of God.

Welcome/Announcement/Passing of Peace – Frank Mansell

The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!  Peace be with you!

Song Celebration:  “Another in the Fire”

There's a grace when the heart is under fire.
Another way when the walls are closing in.
And when I look at the space between
where I used to be and this reckoning.
I know I will never be alone.

There was another in the fire,
standing next to me.
There was another in the waters,
Holding back the seas.
And should I ever need reminding
of how I've been set free,
there is a cross that bears the burden
where another died for me.
There is another in the fire.

All my debt left for dead beneath the waters.
I'm no longer a slave to my sin anymore.
And should I fall in the space between
what remains of me and this reckoning,
either way I won't bow to the things of this world.
And I know I will never be alone.

There is another in the fire,
Standing next to me.
There is another in the waters,
holding back the seas.
And should I ever need reminding
what power set me free,
there is a grave that holds no body
And now that power lives in me.

And I can see the light in the darkness
As the darkness bows to Him.
I can hear the roar in the heavens
as the space between wears thin.
I can feel the ground shake beneath us
as the prison walls cave in.
Nothing stands between us,
nothing stands between us.

There is no other name
but the Name that is Jesus.
He who was and still is
and will be through it all.
So come what may in the space between
all the things unseen and this reckoning;
I know I will never be alone.
I know I will never be alone.

There'll be another in the fire,

standing next to me.
There'll be another in the waters,
holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
how good You’ve been to me,
I'll count the joy come ev'ry battle,
'cause I know that's where You'll be.

I'll count the joy come ev'ry battle,
'cause I know that's where You'll be.

Song Celebration:  “Take My Life”

Take my life and let it be

consecrated, Lord, to Thee.

Take my moments and my days,

let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Take my hands and let them move

at the impulse of Thy love.

Take my feet and let them be

swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my voice and let me sing

always, only, for my King.

Take my lips and let them be

filled with messages from Thee.

Take my silver and my gold,

not a mite would I withhold.

Take my intellect and use

every power as You choose.

Here am I,

All of me.

Take my life,

It’s all for Thee.

Take my will and make it Thine,

it shall be no longer mine.

Take my heart, it is Thine own,

it shall be Thy royal throne.

Take my love, my Lord, I pour

at Your feet its treasure store.

Take myself and I will be

ever, only, all for Thee.

Here am I,

All of me.

Take my life,

It’s all for Thee.

Here am I,

All of me.

Take my life,

It’s all for Thee.

Take my life and let it be

consecrated, Lord, to Thee.

Sharing of Joys and Concerns and Lord’s Prayer – Ann Hamel

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.   Amen.

Song: “Simplicity”

I come in simplicity
Longing for purity
To worship You in Spirit and truth,
only You.

Lord, strip it all away
Till only You remain.
I'm coming back to my first love,
only You

You're the reason I sing,
the reason I sing.
Yes, my heart will sing
How I love You.

And forever I'll sing,
Forever I'll sing.
Yes, my heart will sing
How I love You.

I come with my broken song
to You, the perfect One
to worship You in Spirit and truth,
only You.

Give me a child - like heart,
Lead me to where You are.
I'm coming back to my first love,
only You.

You're the reason I sing,
the reason I sing.
Yes, my heart will sing
How I love You.

And forever I'll sing,
Forever I'll sing.
Yes, my heart will sing
How I love You.

How I love You. how I love You.
How I love You, my first love

How I love You. how I love You.
How I love You, my first love

How I love You. how I love You.
How I love You, my first love

You're the reason I sing
The reason I sing
Yes my heart will sing
How I love You

And forever I'll sing
Forever I'll sing

Yes my heart will sing
How I love You.

Scripture: Matthew 22: 15-22

Then the Pharisees went and plotted to entrap him in what he said. So they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, ‘Teacher, we know that you are sincere, and teach the way of God in accordance with truth, and show deference to no one; for you do not regard people with partiality. Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to the emperor, or not?’ But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, ‘Why are you putting me to the test, you hypocrites? Show me the coin used for the tax.’ And they brought him a denarius. Then he said to them, ‘Whose head is this, and whose title?’ They answered, ‘The emperor’s.’ Then he said to them, ‘Give therefore to the emperor the things that are the emperor’s, and to God the things that are God’s.’ When they heard this, they were amazed; and they left him and went away.
