John Knox supports the following scholarships:

 

Curtis/Ricketts Continuing Education Scholarship for non-traditional students was started as a memorial for Judy Ricketts’ parents in 2014. The scholarship serves as a living memorial to the Curtis/Ricketts family's commitment to education

This scholarship is awarded through the church and funded by donations. Those eligible for the scholarship have either earned a high-school equivalency diploma HSE (previously called a GED) and have decided at any age to pursue continuing education; or a regular high school diploma and decided at age 26 or older to pursue continuing education. Continuing educa­tion could include college, or training in culinary arts, heat­ing and cooling, plumbing, auto repair, etc.

The deadline for submit­ting the applications is September 1, 2023. JKPC members will receive first priority, then relatives of JKPC members, people referred by JKPC members, or people referred by Wayne Township Adult Basic Education. All applicants must already have or be seeking a loan, grant, and or other scholarship. Documentation must be provided for any of these forms of funding and attached to the scholarship ap­plication. Proof of acceptance into a college or program must also accompany the application.

Margaret Wilson Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to John Knox Presbyterian Church (“JKPC”) members, or the children of JKPC members, who will be attending a post-secondary college, university, or trade school, by the following fall.  The scholarships are for undergraduate education only and shall not be awarded for graduate school applicants.  Scholarship shall be awarded to those who are no more than twenty-five (25) years old at the time the application is submitted.

Applications shall be distributed beginning April 5th.  All completed applications must be returned to the John Knox Presbyterian Church office, 3000 N. High School Road, Indianapolis, IN, 46224, by no later than May 9th. Applications must be postmarked by May 6th or emailed ( ) or hand-delivered to the JKPC office before May 9th.
