CROP Walk 2017
Posted on Oct 7, 2017
Church World Service (CWS) sponsors this annual fund raising walk to fight hunger around the world and around the corner. The walk begins at 1:45 p.m. on the grounds of the Christian Theological Seminary, and traverses 3.5 miles through the beautiful Butler-Tarkington area. When you walk, you walk with the neediest of children in the world who may have to walk 2 to 3 miles each day just to get fresh water, food, fuel, and education. Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty (CROP) strives to ease that burden, to provide food for local, national, and international use, and to teach those in impoverished areas to grow their own crops with the ultimate goal that no child goes to bed hungry. There are many opportunities to consider...you may walk, you may sponsor a walker, you may help with the walk, and/or you may pray for the success of the walk and a faster end to world hunger. Join the Mission Team for this very worthy mission effort. For questions or information, please see/contact Kelsey Merrill or Paula Lamey ( or 317-607-8512).
