Church World Service (CWS) sponsors this annual fund raising walk to fight hunger around the world and around the corner. The walk begins at 1:45 p.m. on the grounds of Christian Theological Seminary (CTS), and traverses 3.5 miles through the beautiful Butler-Tarkington area.
When you walk, you walk with the neediest of children in the world who may have to walk 2 to 3 miles each day just to get fresh water, food, fuel, and education. Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty (CROP) strives to ease that burden, to provide food for local, national, and international use, and to teach those in impoverished areas to grow their own crops with the ultimate goal that no child goes to bed hungry.
How can you participate? You may walk, you may sponsor a walker, or you may help with the walk. We ask everyone to hold the event in prayer for success. Join the Mission Ministry Team for this very worthy mission effort. For questions or information, please contact Kelsey Merrill or Paula Lamey ( ; 317-607-8512) and see us in the hallway at church on Sundays leading up to October 15th to support the CROP WALK!
