Winter Seminar Series
Every Saturday, from 01/14/2017 to 02/25/2017, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
On Saturday, January 14th, from 10:00 a.m.-noon, Rev. Mansell will be leading a discussion of Rowan Williams' short book entitled Being Disciples: Essentials of the Christian Life. This is a short collection of essays which speak to ways we are called to lead lives as Christians today. There is no charge for the book - they are available for you to pick up in the church office.
Then, on the next six Saturdays, also from 10:00 a.m.-noon, Gary Shaw will lead us in an exploration of the historic influence of the Reformation and what it means today. October 31, 2017 will be the 500th Anniversary of Luther's act of pronouncement and defiance. The posting of 95 theses transformed the Church and Europe, and then influenced the development of Colonial America and beyond. But what is the impact of the Reformation today? Join us as we dig into our Reformation heritage.
The text we are using is Five Hundred Years of Reformation: A Narrative Outline by Gary Shaw. The cost of the outline is $10.00. Additional materials will be available at no further cost. For more information or to reserve a place in the class, contact Gary Shaw at
