Come Celebrate the New Year at John Knox this Sunday!
You're invited to join us this Sunday, January 1, 2023, at 10:00 am for our Morning Worship Service. If you'd like to join us online for worship, you can do so through Facebook Live. Click here to watch our streaming live services. So that you know, you do not have to have a Facebook account to view our services.
Patty McKinnon is our guest preacher this Sunday. She started Commission Ruling Elder training this past fall. It is part of her class preparation that she proclaims God’s Word to us. We look forward to hearing her message. Our scriptures this Sunday: 1 Chronicles 16:8-12, 31-34 & Matthew 6:25-27, 31-33
Please Protect Your Neighbor
Friends,
As we monitor the Covid virus, we see an increase in cases in our area and flu and RSV. Just a reminder that if you are not feeling well, even if you think it is something as simple as a cold, PLEASE STAY HOME and worship via Facebook. As usual, masks and hand sanitizer are available in several locations at the church. Let's keep everyone safe and healthy.

Epiphany Party - January 6
You’re Invited to an Epiphany Party and Open House at Pastor Beth and Jim Wagner’s House on January 6 from 4-7 p.m. at 1688 Bearcub Lane in Avon. We will have soups and snacks (no need to bring a thing) as we celebrate the arrival of the Wisemen in our liturgical year. (Just a note that we live with two furry cats). Hope you have a minute or two to drop by.
De-decorate the church January 7 - 12 pm
Unfortunately, we have to take all these beautiful decorations down after Christmas. The Chancel Guild could use your help to do so on Saturday, January 7 at 12:00 pm. We’ll provide a pizza lunch for your efforts! The more people who come, the faster it will go – thanks for helping!
