Blue Christmas Service - Tuesday, December 13 - 6:30 pm
For many, the holiday season is not an especially happy time, as it brings back memories of loved ones no longer here. While Christmas is often filled with joy, it also can be filled with pain, sadness, and grief. This year, we will come together again in a time of worship to acknowledge those feelings in a "Blue Christmas Service." This will be a service of scripture, music, and prayer. We hope you will feel led to come and share in this time of worship as we offer all of who we are to God in this time of preparation for the Christ Child.
Poinsettias & Wreaths - Due December 18
We have had eight live wreaths available to decorate the entrances to the church, the sanctuary, and the fellowship hall this Advent and Christmas. We have one still available. If you would like to donate to this one, it is $14. Christmas poinsettias may also be ordered now, and they are $10 a plant. Please make your check out to the church, mark it “Wreaths & Poinsettias”, who you wish it to be in honor or be in memory of, and turn it in to the church office. Thank you!
Circle City Ringers
The Presbyterian Women have some exciting news. The Circle City Bell Ringers will be returning to entertain us Sunday, December 18th at 3:30 pm in the sanctuary, and for the first time since 2019, Harry Greene will be catering his delicious meal following the program. Dinner is expected to be served around 5:00 pm. A Freewill Offering will be taken up for the Circle City Bell Ringers during their performance. Tickets for the banquet will be $12.00 per person and will go on sale November 20 – December 11 in the hallway after service or you may phone the church office for reservations. Checks should be made out to: PWJKC for the banquet. Please plan to attend the performance and the dinner and remember to invite your friends. The afternoon is open to the public. Reservations are required for the dinner. A perfect event for the Christmas season.
Bell Ringers for the Salvation Army
Bell Ringers are needed for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive! JKPC is scheduled to ring the bell on Monday, December 19, 2022, and we only have one spot left! This time slot is from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at the Speedway Kroger Store on Crawfordsville Road. A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board outside the office. Let's sign up, show up and ring those bells for this worthy cause. See Nancy O. or anyone on the PWCT if you have questions.

To celebrate the coming of the Christ Child, we will gather for worship on Christmas Eve at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. Our service will include music by the Adult Chancel Choir and Spirit Alive Band. It will include scripture, carols, communion, and candlelight. Childcare will be provided. Plan on attending this special service celebrating the Christ Child’s birth and consider inviting your friends and family to worship with us that evening!
Christmas Day Service - December 25 - 10 am
Please join us for a casual worship experience on Sunday, December 25 at 10 am. Come in your PJ’s if you like. Gift Card Basket
Once again, PW will be having a drawing for a Candy/Gift Card Bouquet this year!! Thanks to Sandy J. who has taken all the gift card donations and intermixed them with yummy candy bars to come up with a lovely “bouquet” that will be raffled off on January 1st!! Sometime between Sunday, December 11th, and Sunday, January 1st, you will want to purchase your ticket (or tickets!) for a chance to win this bouquet that is not only tasty but worth a lot as well!! Tickets are available Sunday mornings in the church hallway after the worship service or from anyone on the PW Coordinating Team! Online viewers are invited to participate, simply mail your check to the Church, payable to PWJKPC, and note Gift Card Basket and the number of tickets you want on the check. Tickets are $1 ea. Your tickets will be held in the Church office until the day of the drawing unless you want your stubs mailed back to you. If you want them returned, please include a note requesting them with your check. PLEASE NOTE your check must be received IN THE CHURCH OFFICE no later than Wednesday, December 28th. This allows for a delay in mailing time and ensures that your tickets will be included in the drawing on January 1st. You need not be present to win! Any questions, see anyone on the PW Coordinating Team. Thank you for supporting PW's mission and ministry.

Thank You From Dawnie
Thank you to all who came and participated in the Christmas program last Sunday evening. It was so much fun and so entertaining that I forgot to thank everybody! Thank you to our main characters Vicki B., Pam H., and Lisa Crismore, who are not only good actors but good friends. You played your parts perfectly. I love you so much. Thanks to our costumer, Betty Hartman, who graciously created masks and put costumes together. To my sons, Jon and David, who have grown up with this crazy mom and can, fortunately, read my mind. Love you guys for helping us. You are so kind. Jeff Gillespie, thank you for your musical help. Rebekah’s song was wonderful and so were the carols. To our Mary, we thank you for your wonderful song. To all of you who willingly took a bag and took a chance, thank you. You were wonderful!
Birthday Card Shower
Norma K. turns 98 years old! The Deacons would like to ask everyone to shower Norma with birthday cards for her birthday on December 28. Her address is 5103 Cold Harbor Drive, Apt. 142, Tallahassee, FL 32312. Norma was a very active member of John Knox before she moved to Florida to be close to her daughter, Marcia. She is still very alert and stays up to date with John Knox through the Tidings. She would love to receive some birthday cheer!
2023 Stewardship Update
As of December 7th, we have received 47 pledges totaling $273,100 towards the 2023 annual budget. Our goal for pledges in 2023 is $352,000. Thank you to those who have made your commitments thus far. You can put your pledge card in the giving bowl on Sunday mornings, mail your pledge card to the office or contact Cindy Hiday or you are welcome to speak with any member of the Finance Team (Rev.
