Maundy Thursday - April 6 - 7 pm

This service will include music, scripture, and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Worshippers will have an opportunity to walk the Protestant Stations of the Cross.

The Stations of the Cross or the Way of the Cross, also known as the Way of Sorrows or the Via Crucis, refers to a series of images depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion and accompanying scripture and prayers. The stations grew out of imitations of the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem, which is a traditional processional route symbolizing the actual path Jesus walked to Mount Calvary. The objective of the stations is to help the Christian faithful to make a spiritual pilgrimage through contemplation of the Passion Story of Christ. It’s one of the most popular devotions and the stations can be found in many Western Christian churches including Anglican, Lutheran, Methodist, and Roman Catholic.

Good Friday - April 7 - 7 pm

Speedway Baptist Church (2986 Moller Rd, Speedway, IN 46224) is hosting the community Good Friday Service.  We will worship with the Speedway/Westside Community Churches, as the service is led by area ministers, a community choir, and lay leaders in our community.

Easter Festival - April 8 - 9 am

Spring is almost here and that means it is time to invite your family and friends for a morning of games, crafts, breakfast, and an interactive walk-through Holy Week for children in our church and community.

Please volunteer to help by signing up on the bulletin board outside the office. We also need empty, clean egg cartons, CANDY, and items for breakfast. If you have any questions, please see Lisa Crismore. Thanks for making this outreach event to our community a success!

Easter Sunday - April 9

Worship  Easter Sunday is at 10 am. As Easter people, we are called to dance our dances of freedom for all the world to see–even and perhaps, especially in times of great difficulty. Dances of hope. Dances of justice. Dances of love. On a morning when all seemed lost, a stone had rolled away to uncover the feast of all feasts, the joy of all joys. The shroud of death had become a veil for gladness, for celebration, for dancing. What if we stopped trying to outrun one another in a race for things that do not matter in the end, and instead ran toward life and hope and all the joy we can accomplish together, daring to dance again?

Betty Hartman Birthday Brunch

Betty Hartman turns 90 years young on April 14. To celebrate the occasion, her children are hosting the fellowship table after the service on Sunday, April 16. Everyone is invited to stop by, grab some breakfast, and help celebrate this special lady! Betty requests no presents but loves to read- so why not shower her with birthday cards?! Hope to see you there. Sue, Jim & Deb, Stacy, Bill & Lisa
