The Storehouse Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is coming and The Storehouse is starting to prepare for one of its busiest holiday distributions. The number of families needing food is already rising and The Storehouse needs funds in order to purchase turkey breasts/hams needed to provide a proper holiday meal to those in need. If you would like to help The Storehouse meet its goal, please pick up an envelope from the table in the main hallway beginning October 2. Make your check payable to JKPC and in the memo line write ‘Storehouse Turkeys/Hams’. We will make sure The Storehouse receives your donations in plenty of time to be able to make their holiday purchases. If you have any questions, please see anyone on the Mission Team.
Thank you.

The season of stewardship is upon us. Those things that represent a “Wonder-full” life. Please share those pictures by sending them to
. We will share them during our worship time together during this month of gratitude.

Trick or Treat
WOW! How can it be fall already?!? On Halloween night, we will join Iglesia Hermandad Cristiana and Westview Christian Church for a time to provide the children and their parents a safe, warm place to Trick-or-Treat. We will be back in person! They are located at 5925 W. 34th Street. The churches (all in one building) have a great set-up for the families to enter on the ground floor of the building, go up the stairs, down the hall, and then downstairs to a separate exit. Good News for us, they decorate the night before the holiday.
What will we have to do to partner with them? Of course, we need to supply candy. So, make sure to pick up some extra bags when you are at the grocery store and drop them off in Lisa’s office at church. We need at least 6 people (or more) to come and help pass out candy and take Polaroid pictures of the kids. Yes, you can come in costume … or not. This is a lot of fun and prior to Covid, the church handed candy out to over 500 children. If you have any questions or want to be a part of the festivities, talk to Lisa Crismore.
African Food and Dessert Auction
November 6 at 11:15am - Galleh Thoronka & Mamudu Bah will be preparing their native African food to thank our congregation for their support. Everyone is invited to attend the luncheon in Fellowship Hall. We are also asking our good cooks to make a special dessert which will be auctioned off during the meal. All proceeds will go to subsidize the support grant for Galleh and Mamudu. This is funding their living expenses before receiving their work permit.
Please protect your neighbor
Friends,
As we monitor the Covid virus, we see an increase in cases in our area. Just a reminder that if you are not feeling well, even if you think it is something as simple as a cold, PLEASE STAY HOME and worship via Facebook. As usual, masks and hand sanitizer are available at the church. Let's keep everyone safe and healthy.
Blessings,
Rev. Beth Wagner
