Please protect your neighbor

Friends,
As we monitor the Covid virus, we see an increase in cases in our area. Just a reminder that if you are not feeling well, even if you think it is something as simple as a coldPLEASE STAY HOME and worship via Facebook. As usual,  masks and hand sanitizer are available at the church. Let's keep everyone safe and healthy.

Blessings,

Rev. Beth Wagner

Intergenerational Sunday School

We will begin a new adventure this Sunday morning starting at 11 am. Sunday School will follow the worship service. Intergenerational Sunday School will be offered to children, youth, and adults. There will be a Bible scripture with a story presented in an interesting way along with an activity, time to discuss, and a light snack. Patty will continue to offer her class to those adults, who might want a quieter version of the church school. Willy and the youth will be included in this new offering. Come and check it out! It should be a chance to get to know all ages of our congregation. If you have questions, please see Lisa Crismore!

A Note from the Storehouse

We partner with 4 grocery stores to receive their donations. This past week was an exceptional one. The Walmart on Lafayette Rd. gave us 546 cans of Libby pumpkin. At the current price of what Walmart is charging for 15oz cans of pumpkin, the value was $1,359.54.
I was just starting a search for the best price on pumpkin for our Thanksgiving stockpile. What a blessing.
We were able to share 96 cans with Sparky’s pantry at the high school and 150 cans with a food pantry on 34th Street. The remaining 300 will be used by us or shared with others.

Dan and Linda B. along with Greg H. make most of our pick-ups. They visit the stores 4 days a week. They pack, weigh, and share products that might spoil with Lyndhurst Baptist Church Community Center and or Wheeler Mission. These pick-ups amount to hundreds of pounds of products.

I could not run this pantry without dedicated volunteers like them.
